June Street Floral + Sightglass Coffee

Constantly aware of needless global suffering + embarking on a new professional commitment with Sightglass Coffee this month, I understandably have felt a little freaked. What came to mind ahead of setting up shop were the words of Maya Angelou, from her 1992 Spelman Commencement, “Bring your people with you”, in reference to all those who love you and all those who came before you. A reminder that you will be carried by the support of your ancestors + family and friends who may be far or near, but always dear.

And so I did. In the form of vases, twine, and memories associated with objects displayed. Three pop-ups down with four more to go… alongside my sisters, of course!
