Creating Space

A drive up the California coast was the perfect distance to inspire. Here are a few photos from four days in Big Sur, Santa Cruz, and Berkeley. This humble post is a small reminder to create space without expectation. A simple trip was enough time away from the day-to-day bustle to clear out some of the unexamined blocks and allow shoulders to come down from our ears.

It’s sweet to see how the many shades of blue — between the ocean and the sky — showed up in arrangements upon our return. The baby blue Delphinium called out in a new way.

When was the last time you created space for yourself? What came from it? How did you manage to protect that time when temptations to fill it inevitably creep in?
